A Composition in Purple – Iris Time in the Lake Harriet Park Garden

It was June 5, 2022. The Iris flower season was just beginning in the Lake Harriet Gardens.

A storm came through the garden.

Irises were battered.

Weathering all the changes

Delicate brief expressions of spring

Announced the roses will soon arrive.

My friend the robin appeared

Proudly heralding his return.

A sign of reassurance for me

This resurgence of a blooms, birds and bees

Bursting with renewed force

A reminder of

Life’s sheer beauty!

Purple Iris – Lake Harriet Rose Garden

Thanks for stopping by my kitchen.

Have a good day wherever you are.
