“Just a little green, like the color when the spring is born.” ~ Joni Mitchell, e.e. cummings = Nostalgia in song & poetry

By E. E. Cummings

IN JUST

POETRY FOUNDATION

in Just-
spring when the world is mud-
luscious the little
lame balloonman

whistles far and wee

and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it's
spring

when the world is puddle-wonderful

the queer
old balloonman whistles
far and wee
and bettyandisbel come dancing

from hop-scotch and jump-rope and

it's
spring
and
         the
                  goat-footed

balloonMan whistles
far
and
wee

Spring

over night came

to the city

of Minneapolis.

The winter was grey, grey, grey.

Relief and nostalgia courses through the air.

Today is here. Look and listen to the birds’ joy!

A true Awakening of Spirits and an innocent delight in rebirth of nature’s storms and splendors made me venture out to take a few photos.

Peace to everyone wherever you may find your self.
