Way Up North = City Escape – Morning Commute At The Lake

Friends continue to send me their photos during the Covid-19 evolution. My good friend lives two blocks from the where the Lake Street Third Precinct was looted and torched. After a night with tear gas and smoke coming into her house, she packed up her things and her animals. Eventually she took time off work and went Up North to her family’s lake place, which is close to Canada and a long drive.

Today she is telecommuting for the week before returning to the city. Here’s her morning commute photo. She walks through the woods to her sister’s place to connect to wifi and put in her workday.

The temperature will be around 95 degrees Fahrenheit today in Minneapolis. So anyone who is by a lake will enjoy cooler weather.

Thanks for stopping by my kitchen.

Be well wherever you may find yourself.

Peace

Beautiful views. I hope things settle down soon.

Thanks, Irene. They have more than settled down. Minnesotans have organized, raised funds, food and groceries for the people in need. Rather than see the terrible days that passed, the people here are pulling together to help each other. It’s the Minnesota way.
