A Contemplative Life = Food for The Body and Soul – Dockery’s Pub & Sunsets’ Study

Dockery’s Restaurant on Daniel Island SC

Going to dinner on December 30, 2019. We were treated to a beautiful series of sky shows at sunset in a parking lot for a Restaurant called Dockery’s a Brew Pub with good food. As we walked to the venue the sky was painting this changing mural. I said, “Wait a minute, I have to catch this.”

A happy surprise. Each image, moment to moment, the sky dance of the fall of another day into night, reminds us in fire and clouds how fleeting the pleasures of life.

The Brew Master was regularly checking his batch.  We shared the appetizer of:

chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon, sumac, naan bread which tasted totally healthy and home made

Main orders were:

Vertical Roots Lettuces

cucumber, cherry tomatoes, radish, bacon, buttermilk dressing with chicken

Vertical Roots Lettuces and Smoked Turkey Chili

Rice and Shrimp on Vertical Roots Lettuces Platter

Oatmeal Bar!

Home Made Thin Crisped Oatmeal Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich – phew! It was delicious.

Dockery’s grows there own vertical Roots Lettuce in Containers on the premises.

Many poets have stopped by my blog lately. Each person’s style and theme are different and intriguing. I like to read what people are thinking about and how their poems express their longing, dreams, sorrows, loss, love, joy and humor. Each poem reveals a page of a heart’s desire pouring out across the known blog-o-verse to unknown readers, who may share their vision and thoughts. For me sharing these visions, my own and reading poems of others is like the “message in a bottle” and initiated by leap of trust. Someone may find the message…

I have great gratitude for all the artists, poets, foodies and scientists who share their spirit and passions in life. Keep the faith.
