Before The Frost = Autumn Poem

Before The Frost
Before the frost sets in
the flowers follow the sun defiantly
with no less beauty
next to faded blooms
The neighbors set out
potted mums and pumpkins
after the rainy days
to cheer for harvest
Bees set about their never-ending
task of gathering pollen
from the last yield
of delicate blossoms
Trees set the stage in glorious
colors, their farewell to summer
Among them squirrels take their
ease with nonchalance
The set of park benches abandoned
still beckon for the people
who whiled away the warmer days
as players stopping in time

The world hurtles past these scenes
missing the rhythm of Autumn
that slips by us
Before the frost sets in

What a beautiful it captures the feelings during this time of year. Also nice to see neighborhood sights right in front of my eyes.
